The people involved in rescue do a variety of tasks including foster until a home can be found. They also help transport a dog to a new home, make donations of time and money, work on public education, the list goes on. These people are heroes! American Brittany Rescue was formed in 1991 as a cooperative effort of Brittany owners, breeders, trialers, & fanciers who believe we have a responsibility not only for our own dogs and the dogs we produce, but for our breed as a whole. The purpose of rescue is to take in stray, abandoned, surrendered and/or impounded purebred Brittanys, provide them with foster care, health and temperament screening, offer an opportunity for rehabilitation if necessary, assure their health and place them in new homes.

Chihuahua Rescue focuses on the midwest region of the United States which includes Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio and Tennessee. As volunteers join and our support increases, our scope will broaden to include additional states. We want to thank you for taking a moment to read about our cherished Chihuahua friends and look forward to helping you through the adoption process. We are an all-volunteer rescue, transport, foster and adoption group. It is our belief that irresponsible breeding of animals for profit is unethical and seek to encourage potential pet guardians to consider adoption as their first choice in selecting a loving canine addition to their family. We work tirelessly to place lost, abandoned and surrendered Chihuahuas into loving and responsible homes.

We are a group of individuals living across the United States and Canada, whose goals are to preserve and protect Chinese Cresteds in need. We provide vetting, transportation, and foster homes for each dog in need, until he or she can be carefully matched to an approved home. We provide education about the breed to private individuals interested in adopting, and to shelters as well, in an effort to help ensure the integrity of the breed as a whole. We are involved in Crest-Care, Inc. for no other reason than our concern for Chinese Cresteds in need. We realize our limitations in that we cannot save them all, but working together, we help those we can. We work within the framework of local and civil laws, in order to protect both dogs and all parties concerned.

I am an independent individual rescue who rescues homeless animals from individuals, rescues, and shelters. I do this from my heart, and my wallet, and receive no assistance. I spay, neuter, vaccinate, and create a healthy environment for them in my home until they are adopted to forever compassionate homes. All my animals are also tested for diseases and treated for worms and fleas before leaving my home. I love each and every animal who enters my life through rescue and look for good loving homes for the unfortunate animals who have lost theirs!
